I had the chance to second shoot for Megan from The Wild Vow Photography at an amazing Bull River Ranch Wedding in Wardner, BC, just outside of Cranbrook—this place is a dream! If you’re a couple looking for a relaxed, rustic vibe where all your guests can stay, this is the spot. It’s one of those venues that feels like a bit of a getaway, but without having to travel far from home.

The Bull River Guest Ranch really has it all. It’s the perfect blend of gorgeous mountain views, cozy charm, and laid-back elegance. The mountains behind the ceremony site add an amazing natural backdrop, a true Kootenay landscape! And the reception space is just as great—it’s a fantastic mix of indoor and outdoor, so the party can flow freely, whether you want to be inside by the fire or dancing under the stars. —it felt like a relaxed, non-fussy atmosphere where you can be yourself and celebrate with the people you love.

The wedding itself had everything I love to capture. It started with an emotional first look then the couple walked down the aisle hand in hand, which I thought was so cool. The bride brought in some beautiful elements of her Ukrainian heritage, which added a personal touch to the day. Lot’s of special moments with friends and family, plus the couple was so clearly in love and so relaxed, which made our job as a photographers a dream. 

One of the best parts of the night was the reception. Picture this: an open-air dance floor, a live band playing all the best tunes, and everyone dancing and laughing under the sky. It was the perfect vibe—relaxed, fun, and totally carefree.

I can’t wait to come back and capture another wedding at this stunning spot!
