One of the things I love most about living in the East Kootenays is how easy it is to find stunning mountain views without having to trek too far. For this family session at the Wycliffe Buttes, it looks like we climbed a mountain, but in reality, it was just a short hike from the parking lot. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the best part was sharing the experience with a family I’ve been photographing for years.

This is a family that I have lots of memories with. I first started photographing them back when I lived in Vancouver, before their third son was born. Now, after I’ve moved to Kimberley, they made the time during their Cranbrook visit to book another session with me. It means the world to me that they’d spend part of their trip creating more memories together.

Being a family photographer feels so personal. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching families grow, building connections with kids and their parents through all those happy moments. It’s not just about taking pictures; it’s about celebrating life’s milestones together.

If you’re planning a trip to the East Kootenay or Cranbrook area, I’d love to help capture your family’s special moments. Let’s create something beautiful together!
